Eva Envelope Clutch

Knit in once piece with simple finishing, this quick project is perfect for a fall night on the town!

This is the first free Chiagu pattern, it will give you an idea of the style and layout of our for sale patterns.

Finished Measurements
5.5" tall x 10" wide

Materials
2 balls Tahki Bunny Print (50% merino wool, 25% alpaca and 25% acrylic) 50 gr/1.75oz, 81yds/70m, in color #18
US#8/5.00mm needles OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
Tapestry needle
Sew-on magnetic closure (optional)

Gauge
17 sts and 26 rows = 1" in stockinette
Note: If substituting yarn, pick a yarn that has a suggested stockinette gauge of about 14 sts/4". Like other knit purses, Eva is knit tightly to make it less stretchy and more durable.

Directions
CO 51 sts.
Row 1 (RS): K22, slip 1 purlwise, K22, slip 1 purlwise, place marker, work moss to end.
Row 2 (WS): Slip 1 knitwise, moss to marker, P to last 3 sts, K3.
Row 3: Rep row 1
Row 4 (inc row): Slip 1 knitwise, YO, moss to marker, P across. -- 52 sts
Rows 5-9: Rep rows 2&3
Row 10: Rep row 4.
Rows 11-13: Rep rows 2&3.
Row 14: Rep row 4.
Continue as established, working increase row every 4th row until there are 61 sts total.
Work even in patt until piece measures 10" from beg. Bind off.

Finishing
Fold envelope along the slipped stitch rows which naturally form creases. Sew up 22 side stitches. With flap folded down, steam clutch as flat as you can get it, or alternately you can wet it and then lie it flat to dry, pressing on it to flaten its shape. Sew magnetic closure to body and inside of flap (optional).

Add your cell, keys, lipstick and ID and you're ready for a fall night on the town!
